TLC Day is a new initiative to encourage, empower, and equip all of us to commit at least 30 minutes to Tighten, Lube, and Clean the basic things we use and interact with at home or work.

But why? And How?

Life Happens. Things get turned, bent, twisted, pulled, pushed, grabbed, opened or otherwise used and touched.

A door knob gets loose.

A cupboard hinge starts to squeak.

A light switch gets dirty.

Eventually, all the things we use and touch have screws or other fasteners that need to be tightened, moving parts that need lubrication, and touch surfaces that need to be cleaned.

These things, handles, knobs, buttons, switches, hinges, surfaces, fixtures, and many more, are often sadly neglected.

But, there is hope! Most of these things are very easy to fix. TLC Day is a focused opportunity for everyone to fix as many of these as they can. The amount of effort, resources, and skill needed is much less than you might think.

The bottom line is that the more things get used, the more likely they need a little TLC!
